Blogging in the middle school classroom

Finally, I have created a class blog using classpress.com.  It was simple for me and a grand experience for the students.  I have the students format their blogs.  The students then created a survey for the other students to answer.  From the statistic they collected from their surveys, each student created an EXCEL spreadsheet and then a graph.  They took their work and created a PowerPoint presentation adding pictures, videos, and text.  It was an “excellent” leaving experience for the students and for me.  I’m now not only using blogs, but GoogleDocs to create an end of the year digital scrapbook for eighty grade students.  This is the best tool I’ve used to interest the students in learning in years.
